Old books have double the value

Before you toss those old books in the trash or donate them to your local thrift shop consider the value. Old leather bound books are great for adding a little warmth to your home. Place a few books on your fireplace, table or a chair to create a warm and cozy nook.
However, before you expose your books to the dust and sun have them appraised. You might be surprised at the value. Interior  designers and decorators will pay good money to take them off your hands or you may have a rare book worth thousands in your collection.

To determine the value of your books just search the Internet. Things to consider are the title, author, condition, date, edition and if it's signed.  If in doubt, consult a professional appraiser or an antique book dealer.
