![]() The Oklahoman Published April 18, 2009 Percussionist Sheila E., known for her work with Prince, will be interviewed live on "Mi-Ling’s Comfort Zone” on KTOK 1000 AM from 9 to 10 a.m. Sunday. Sheila E., born Sheila Escovedo, was discovered in 1983 by Prince, according to her Web site, www.sheilae.com. She has recorded and toured with artists including Babyface, Billy Cobham, Natalie Cole, George Duke, Pete Escovedo, Gloria Estefan, Marvin Gaye, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Nicks, Patti LaBelle, Cyndi Lauper, Prince, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Ringo Starr, Tito Puente, Don Was and Stevie Wonder. Sheila E. was winner of the third season of CMT’s show, "Gone Country,” in which celebrities are uprooted to Nashville, Tenn., for a two-week crash course in country music.
